Distribution of Religion in Germany
Germans that are a part of the Evangelical Church in Germany are mostly clustered around the Northwestern section of Germany, but have a solid foothold across the whole country. Evangelicals also have a southbound streak of clustered groups of Evangelicals. Catholics, however, have a strong and overwhelming grip on the whole southern seciton of Germany. The Catholics even have a foothold that extends slightly northwestern. Those who are unaffiliated with any religion or practice another religion are clustered all along the Northeastern section of the country. There are very few Catholics or Evangelicals that invade into the Northeastern section, but they do converge in center section of Germany. Overall, the single largest religion that regins over the whole country is Christianity, without a doubt. Christianity is a uniersalizing religion that has a foothold across the globe, and is a monotheistic religion, meaning that those who believe in the Christian faith believe in the one and only true God. The most prominent religion in Germany is Christianity and it has two major denominations in this country which are Catholicism and Evangelical. Basic beliefs in Christianity are belief in one and only God, and to trust in the God, for he has a plan. Holy places in Christianity include Churches and Jerusalem. Another thing that is celebrated is the major holidays, such as Christmas (Birth of Jesus) and Easter (Death and Resurrection of Jesus). There haven't been any major wars based soley on religion in Germany, however, during World War II, Hitler's Germany and the Nazi Regime meaninglessly killed many Jews were Germany was home to them. This caused a lot of Jews to leave Germany, and decrease the impact of Judaism on Germany's religions.
